Privacy Policy

Last updated 18 October 2026

We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

Your name, contact details, order details, information about your documents (including scans you choose to upload), payment confirmation from Stripe (we never receive your full card number), and records of our communications.

Why we collect it

To assess your request, provide our services, lodge and coordinate documents with authorities, notaries, embassies, translators and couriers, communicate with you, process payments, meet legal obligations, and improve our services.

Who we share it with

Only those needed to complete your order: government authorities (such as DFAT), embassies and consulates, notaries public, translators, couriers, our payment processor (Stripe), and our website and form hosting providers (Netlify). Some of these may be located overseas — for example, when your document is being legalised for use in another country.

Security and retention

Physical documents are kept secure while in our custody and returned by tracked service. Digital records are stored with reputable providers and access is limited to staff who need it. We keep records only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal obligations.

Access and complaints

You can ask to access or correct your personal information, or make a privacy complaint, by emailing info@apostilleexpress.com. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
